Dener Céide, born on November 21, 1979, in Saint-Louis-du-Sud, Haiti, is a celebrated Haitian guitarist, composer, producer, singer, and arranger whose work has helped shape the sound of modern Konpa and Haitian music.
Known for his signature guitar style, refined arrangements, and soulful musical storytelling, Dener has spent decades contributing to the sonic identity of many of Haiti’s most beloved artists and bands. His work reflects a rare combination of technical brilliance, cultural depth, and emotional sensitivity blending traditional Haitian roots with contemporary sophistication.

How did Dener Céide build his music legacy?
Raised in the rich cultural traditions of southern Haiti, Dener was immersed from an early age in the rhythms, melodies, and spiritual depth of Haitian musical life. He was also guided in the church by his mother, Marie Rosette Bruno, a respected choir director and church leader, an influence that helped shape his spirituality in the church.
He began with percussion before expanding into guitar and composition, developing his musical voice as a child and teenager. Surrounded by church music, rara, folk traditions, and tambour rhythms, his identity as an artist was deeply rooted in Haitian culture and spirituality.
Over the course of his career, Dener Céide has collaborated with major artists and groups across both the Haitian and international music landscape. Between 2006–2007, he performed with Inner Circle, and in 2010, he performed with Lauryn Hill. He also collaborated with the legendary Tabou Combo.
Following his work with Tabou Combo, Dener took a defining step in his artistic journey by co-founding the band Zafem alongside his longtime friend and collaborator Reginald Cangé. Together, they created a musical movement that redefined modern Konpa bringing poetic storytelling, rich harmonies, and cinematic production to the forefront of Haitian music.

After leaving his hometown, Dener relocated to Miami, Florida, where he pursued studies in music education and composition. This period strengthened both his technical expertise and artistic identity, allowing him to merge formal training with cultural expression.
With more than 24 years of production experience, Dener officially launched Dener Céide Productions in 2016—a platform dedicated to musical excellence, innovation, and the development of emerging talent. Through this company, he collaborates with highly creative artists—especially independent talent—helping them bring their vision to life through high-quality production and creative direction.
In 2017, he entered a new creative chapter through his work with Reginald Cangé, further elevating contemporary Haitian music. Their collaboration helped usher in a refined era of Konpa—defined by elegance, depth, and spiritual resonance.

In 2017, Dener Ceide entered a new creative chapter through a collaborative musical movement alongside renowned vocalist Reginal Cange further influencing the evolution of the contemporary sound in Haitian music. This work brought attention to poetic song writing, Rich Harmonies and cinematic production which brought light to the depth and expansion of konpa in a modern way.
